A special musical experience and presentation for the local schools.

The SOGO Academy Orchestra is a full orchestra of over 50 members playing string, woodwind, brass and percussion instruments. The Academy Orchestra is one of three full orchestras and a brass choir that make up the SOGO program engaging over 160 students from over 30 schools from a 4 county area.

Our 2024 Runout Concert has a little something for everyone:

  • Brasstastico, Mark Thome - a brass fanfare featuring local HS brass players

  • An American Rhapsody, Richard Meyer

  • Farandole, George Bizet/Merle Isaac - with comic skit

  • Highlights from Harry Potter, John Williams/Mike Story

  • Guest Soloist, Richard Meyer - with special school faculty members playing car horns!

  • Magnificent Seven, Elmer Bernstein/Roy Phillipe - with additional local HS brass players
